Little Riceling,
Last night we had a first together, unfortunately it was not one I was hoping to have this early. I went to the emergency department because of some neural symptoms that happened because of a migraine. It was my first emergency department visit in my life (that I know of). I would really like to not have one of those again so lets work together on that. I'm glad it was just a migraine but if we could try to keep those away too that would be helpful. I love you little one. Can't wait to see you again at the next ultra sound. Don't worry your Dad is helping to take very good care of us.

You Are A Miracle!
My Dear Little Riceling,
I can't believe you are here (kinda). We are so excited to be able to announce to the world that you have arrived. You are such a little miracle and we already love you so much more than you will know. We continue to pray over you and hope I have a nice home for you for the next several months. Today we went to the doctor and found out you have been present in our lives for 6 weeks! I can't wait to find out if you are a boy or a girl. Also, I can't wait until you let me eat bananas again, but that is a small price to pay to have you in our lives.

It is a Good Day!
Dear Little Riceling,
I have some news that I would like to share with you. We are moving back to the east coast and to family. I am so happy we will be having/raising you around family so your life will be more filled with love. We are moving in less than two months and I can't wait, but am also freaking out about how much I have to do to get ready to move. We love Colorado and will definitely bring you out here to visit from time to time so you can experience the Rockies like we have (and maybe even more). However, unlike a lot of children in this country you will get to experience growing up near the ocean just like your father.

Adventures!
Dear Little Riceling,
Your father and I have had a couple of date day adventures recently. Last week we had a day long date together. It was a blast we went to the gym, then to Elitch Gardens, and then to help out with the youth. However, it doesn't compare to the date day we had yesterday. We went on a hike to Maxwell Falls. The hike lasted about 3 hours or so and it was so beautiful. I am very proud to have made it through the entire hike. Yesterday I also found out I still have a ways to go to get into shape. We also discussed possible names for whenever you want to show up. We didn't make too much progress in names but we did figure out several names we will not use. I can't wait until you come into our world little one.

Today's Adventure Let Me Know I'm Ready When You Are
Dear Little Riceling,
Today I watched my friend's little girl, she is 18 months old and a handful. I was so exhausted after watching her today that I am now more motivated to work on getting into better shape while you take your sweet time getting here. I now have a yoga mat so I can go to the yoga classes offered by our gym. Also, I plan to get to the gym early enough in the morning for your father and me to work out before work. My friend's daughter is currently in the clingy stage (you will go through it too someday) and therefore was clinging to me until we met back up with her mother. It made the day much more tiring but the cuddles she gave me were so heartwarming it was worth it. I wouldn't hesitate to watch her again. This is how I know that I am ready for you whenever you get here. Today I was peed on, used as a napkin, and used as a tissue and I was so happy doing it. Just know that when you get here I am going to love you and cuddle the mess out of you.

Today is the First of Many
Dear Little Riceling,
I gave you the name Little Riceling because you aren't here yet, although I have wanted and hoped for you for over a year you aren't here yet. I don't know if you will come in the conventional way or adoption down the road but I do know that you are wanted. You will be an answer to prayer no matter what.
This past weekend was Mother's Day, the first time I really felt your absence. Most days seeing other babies or pregnant women is fairly easy, the pain lasts only momentarily but I know one day God will give me you Little Riceling. (I just wish He would hurry up sometimes) However, on Mother's Day this year it lasted longer. When I started trying I expected based on my family history that I would be able to celebrate this year as a mother or a mom-to-be, but that was not the case. I know when you get here you will be beautifully and wonderfully made. I know that God will give you to me at His time and not my own.
I found out about 3 months after trying to have you that I will not have an easy time. I found out I have PCOS and that although it is not impossible (for nothing is impossible with God) it was unlikely without medical help to have you. After a year of trying with minimal and first line medication with this condition I have been unsuccessful. I will be moving onto the next step. The next step is a different medication and after joining an online group I have found that for a lot of people out there has been unsuccessful. I am continuing to pray and trust God that this will work for me. I'm trying to take care of myself better to prepare for you and be able to take better care of you.
